Parking problems at Flying J

Here's some pictures of guy who pulled in next me with his 5th wheel.

I knocked on the door but no answer. So I took some pictures just case they cause damage to our newly painted trailer. He came out and wanted to fight ( a little guy) I told him about my concerns, but he wasn't having it. I told him I wasn't going fight an old guy. His wife came to the window and I asked her if she could drive the rig because this is not going to be good for him if he keep on pushing. She called him in, he's very lucky.

PS, Most of the time we park with the truckers out back, this is the last time in front with the RVs.

No damage no foul. Bad judgement yes. Not worth arguing or fighting about. Life is full of adventures. Sorry it happened to you.

I don't get it

He looks centered in his lane. Mabe he needs that narrow slide out to get around his bed (like I do). Regardless, his slide is going to be retracted before he moves on.

On second look, he hasn't totally extended the slide.

Yeah, inconsiderate. Good idea to take photos.

At the FJ nearest us, the bob-tails have taken to overnight parking in the RV slots up front as well as car spots over by the restaurant side. I can (sorta) understand them not wanting to take up a full length site where the truckers park on the diesel side, but it's frustrating to not have a place for us to park now.

I dont get it either. Does he not have the right to take up as much of his parking spot as he wishes? Looks like he may be a couples onto the yellow line. If things like this upset you that much, you must have a pretty tough life.

Geesh!

He wanted to fight?!

Apparently he's overloaded with too much testosterone.

I gladly pay for a camp site with FHU to avoid situations like that. As a former truck driver, I never did appreciate RV's taking up spaces that trucks needed for parking. Truckers have no other choice when their log book says they have to shut down NOW and they were planning on that truck stop.

Only choice I have at times esp. since I can not back up without unhooking. We use the spots to stop and eat at the restaurants as well as for when I have to nap or walk the dogs. All to often the rest stops are so packed there is no place to park and walk the dogs. I prefer to stop at campgrounds for a good nights sleep but sometimes there is nothing open in the area and Walmart’s are not always handy. I think it’s better to stop and nap than have/cause an accident. We do not over night away from campgrounds as of now.

We have been traveling some at night to avoid bad traffic in major cities. That often means dinner 8 or 9 pm and perhaps a nap around 3am. Anyhow I wish the truck stops had some spots for only short term parking and same with rest stops.

I don't think the OP's picture was of the parking spaces on the truck side. I think his photo was the RV spots out front.

Plus, in reference to my above post, I'm not talking about staying overnight & taking up a hard working trucker's spot. I won't do that. I'm just wanting to refuel & get a bite to eat at Denny's. But when truckers park in the RV spots in the front, I don't appreciate that either.

If everyone would park where they're supposed to & be considerate of each other's space, we'd all get along.
