For your CB antenna, I replaced the fiberglass one with a simple straight wire CB antenna and a spring at the base. Easy. For the anemometer, maybe fab up a small 'roll cage' using PVC pipe-3 legs, just Dicor to roof. Just an idea.

I thought about a cage for the anemometers and have come to the conclusion that mounting them either on velcro or some other way that branches will knock it off of its mount rather than destroy it is preferable.

Any branch that will break the anemometer will probably also distort the cage and any cage strong enough to withstand it will hinder the wind making the anemometer ineffictive.

I also need the step anti skid tape. What is best, 50 grit or 80 grit?

Solar is handy to have in Quartzsite!

I had the same problem with the roller on the bedroom slide with our Signature. Marty at Elite had to build a whole new support bracket and welded it in place. We have the Detroit engine and coaches with this option have a small upper grill on the left rear. Marty removed this grill and was able to do the work through that opening.
