If you just want a grab handle you could refit those ends with a piece of tubing. Stainless, Brass or other. If you would like the plastic one you could try here. They have tons of stuff and will ship.

NorthWest RV supply has a good assortment. Here's just one example.

Ours was all badly cracked.
Just went to hardware store and bought an acrylic rod same diameter and hacksawed ends to match into the holders. Put in the top one left in place and inserted and rescrewed in the bottom one. Took a few minutes.

I ordered up a lighted one so I can be high roller. I like the suggestion to just fit a piece while I wait the four days for delivery.

I had to buy a 1 1/4 innch diamater piece and then turn the ends down. So the ends actually step down for the last inch.
Finding the rod was not easy because of the diamater. It was not cheap to buy the two foot section either. Then I had to polish the darn thing as it was not high gloss on the outside for some reason.
In any case, I could not get a replacement for mine so had to resort to some creativity to turn the ends down.
McMasters is where I got the rod from.

Broke mine last week!
Ordered mine from Veurnink's. I called them and spoke with Parker Rivard (616 965-9617) and gave them the model, year and that mine was not lighted.
4 days later I got the replacement. It included the new acrylic rod with HR etched in it, just like the one I broke. The kit also included ALL the parts...all new and shiny. The rod is not straight...it is bowed.
I probably didn't need the new chrome plated bottom and top parts, nor the new gasket, but they also were included in the price. I got a military discount and it goes on this weekend.

I got my replacement at rveliteparts.com. Matched the original exactly. Probably not the cheapest, but the easiest to install.

Mine broke and cut my arm as I was entering.
I used a piece of stainless steel tubing cut to size to replace the plastic piece.
i THINK IT WAS 1" OUTSIDE DIAMETER TUBING

I replaced mine 2 years ago. The replacement which I found on ebay was a bit longer. I had to cut the length down about 2 inches. Pretty straightforward
