Police Escort

Been going to the Chicago Brookfield Zoo for years. Today I took the kiddos using the motorhome and we got police escort to the parking space. Did not know that it one of the perks of owning a motorhome..

Sorry if I confused you Rick. Just that nobody had informed me that they have different site to park for motor homes and a squad car escorted us to a site away from where the cars are being parked. Incidentally it is close to the main entrance of the zoo.

I am also appreciative of police escorts. I was driving through Greenville, AL on the main highway route and just as I drove over a small hill I noticed a railroad overpass with a BIG 10' clearance sign. It took my brain a minute to register that low overpasses weren't only in New England before I braked hard and stopped about 20 yards from it. It was pretty obvious that not all had stopped prior to entering because of the scars and chipped concrete. Traffic backed up quickly and the local police routed them around me and then stopped traffic as I backed up and turned around. They then led me around the town with an occasional siren. I thanked them for the escort and they told me it happened all the time. It seems that a "LOW OVERPASS AHEAD" sign at the bypass would have been appropriate but maybe they enjoy the excitement when one of the tourists don't stop before going under the overpass.

I have never seen a 12' RV v/s a 10' overpass.. Closest I've ever come is a 12'6" over pass with a 12'6" (Empty) RV that was loaded to the max so it was shorter.

I have seen 13'6" Semi's v/s a 12' bridge though. Several of 'em.

Look kind of like sardine cans that have been opened.

I also have recieved a police escort.
What really surprised me was that they would wake up the Judge to hear my case and take my money.
