Poll for owners of Diesel powered Monaco/HR motorhomes

This question only relates to Diesel powered Monaco/HR motorhomes. I am trying to find out how many other years have their J1939 diagnostic port wired wrong. On my 2012 Knight it's power supply is from the ignition and I recently found out it should be powered from the battery (always on). In the picture mine is connected to pin 4 of the VCN firewall harness (VCN4 IGN+ DIAGNOSTICS PLUG, ALARM). My question is does anyone show theirs connected to a BATT+ source? You should be able to find this information in your owners guide or on the door of the front 12v wiring/fuse bay.

If yours shows BATT+ as the source please leave a response as to the year, model, and engine.

Thanks

My diagrams show it going to battery, have not checked it in reality however.

The diagnostic port on my 2002 Dynasty is wired to the battery. I know this because I have a ScanGauge-D.

It's wired to my ignition on my 2001 Diplomat. When the key is off my scan-D goes off

I can power on the ScanGauge-D without ignition -- a convenient feature. It will eventually shut itself off. That means power is constantly available via my diagnostic port.
