Possible Purchase

I am looking at a 2008 Holiday Rambler Endeavor 40PDQ. This coach is on the Roadmaster RR8R chassis with a Cummins ISL400. Are there any know problems with this setup that anyone is aware of. I have done a search and I don't think this chassis has the trailing arm problem. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Nope, the RR8R does not have that issue. Having had an 06 Ambassador and a 09 Scepter I can tell you the RR8R is a great way to go!

There has been a recall on the fuel rail for the ISL 400 engine. Since this is a single rear answer make sure there is enough weight carrying capacity for your needs. In 05 and 06 there were some radiator issues not sure when Monaco went from Aluminium to Copper tubing which corrected the problem. Maybe someone else will know more about this issue for an 08. I have a 06 Endeavor and we really like it.

I have an 07 Diplomat 40PDQ on a RR8R chassis with an ISL400 and there have been no problems with engine overheating or chassis issues. We love our MH

I have an 08 Endeavor, absolutly no heat problems even with the Toad. I usually travel at the 62 to 65 MPH range. The only engine issue I had was a check engine light would come on during a heavy uphill pull when going up with me in control of the throttle. If the cruise was taking me up the hill there wasn't an issue. This was fixed with a Cummins software upgrade.

Other than that, it's been a great coach.

Dennis

Thanks for the replies. So far we are still in the dickering stages so don't know what will happen. It sounds like this could be the coach for me if we can make the numbers work.

I have A 08. the engine, transmission and chassis (except the shocks) are very good, However the workmenship on the coach itself is very poor.
at this point, after 14 months of ownership, I am not shure I would buy Monaco/ holiday rambler.
