Smile Power Cord for 2007 42' Camelot

This rig is new to me so I have a couple of questions:
1. Is there a built-in surge suppressor at the end of the power cord that comes out of the rear/driver side of the coach? If not, it might be difficult to add/remove a portable suppressor for each setup. My surge suppressor is huge and it is very difficult to remove the plug each time. Any ideas?
2. How long is the pullout power cord? I am away from my rig (2500 miles) and I was wondering if the cord reached the front of the coach for situations where the plug-in is forward of the parking stall. Thanks in advance!

Can't help you with #1, but I haven't seen a campground with the "pedestal" forward of the parking stall. deSanford

Plan to go to AK this summer and the River Terrace in Soldotna is apparently set up for fifth wheelers. The preferred orientation for class A's is to park straight in to be able to view the river. I'm not certain if my power cord can reach the power pedestal without an extension.

On my 08 Camelot, my cord will not go to the front of the RV. I have a 50' extension cord I use at home, but have never traveled with it. As to the surge protector. I had my hard wired at the transfer switch in the ceiling of that bay. I had the installer put standard 50 amp ends on and enough slack that if the surge protector were to fail, I could bypass it by attaching the two ends together.

Being able to "bypass" the surge protector is a fine way to go. They do fail......deSanford

Just bought a 30' 50amp extension cord for a family reunion trip to a ranch in OK. Figured 30' was all I wanted to store and handle. Amazon had it for $108 delivered.

I have the old "snake" in the garage. It was left over when I installed a new electric reel. I will have to purchase one end and then I will have a very heavy and cumbersome electric cord extension. Plan 2 is forget it and use my built in battery, solar cells, and generator to provide power in such cases. deSanford

That extra few feet is quite-often welcome, not only from peace-of-mind for 'having it if I might need it' to use in an odd-designed site (especially out-West) but also from several CG's we've stayed at where the view is LOT nicer when turned around than the usual back-in.
