Power Gear Control Panel

On my last couple of trips my Power Gear Control Panel for my leveling jacks has acted up.

While driving it starts beeping and all the lights flash on the panel. This lasts for about 10 seconds then it returns to normal.

It has happened 3 or 4 times in a couple of trips.

Any ideas?

The same thing happened to me about two years ago. I called Monaco tech support. They had me hold down two buttons on the control panel at the same time. I don't remember which ones. It didn't help. Finally I decided to re boot the system by removing the fuse. Mine was located outside front side compartment, on drivers side, for about 10 minutes. It solved the problem. I hope this helps you.

Bet you just finished a hard turn or over a bump. That is the response when the float triggers the jack down alarm. Easy fix. Verify the fluid level is at its max level (not over). Dextron III is getting harder to find and I cannot recall which current # is recommended for use when III is called for.

I agree with this. Low fluid level will cause the panel to act up like you describe. Easily fixed.

I had a different problem with powergear/valid system. The coach while sitting in auto-mode when, "warm" outside, would sporadically just fully raise in the front. It would not go back to level until I intervened and leveled it. I contacted Valid in Canada. The Service Coordinator (extremely helpful) suggested the keypad as the problem. It seems Monoco has a habit of installing the pad near a window possibly exposing it to moist conditions. Their resonse,
"The water damage may not be readily apparent. Sometimes if you take the metal back panel off (4 phillips screws) and look at the small via holes on the circuit board with a 10x magnifier, you may see signs of corrosion. "
They have new keypads available, a bit pricey however $445 , I found one and purchased through EBay for a ton less cash. Plugged it in and problem solved.
FYI PowerGear was a distributor for Valid Manufacturing, currently not. You can go to Valid website inquiry page and make a request, they will respond promply.
