Power Gear Levelers not working, neutral safety swich signal problem

Hi

I have a 2006 30 ft Monarch Monaco on a Ford chassis. My Power Gear levelers will not go down. I've replace the control board and the touch pad and they're still not working. Now the tech at Power Gear is telling me its the problem is the signal coming from the neutral safety switch telling the control board the coach is in Park. The coach starts with no problem so the switch must be working ok or the coach wouldn't want to start if it is not in park. I need to trace the wire that feeds the control board from the neutral safety switch. Does anyone have wiring diagrams or schematics? Does the signal possibly go trough a relay or something after it leaves the neutral safety switch before it goes to the Power Gear control board? Where should I possibly look for such a thing. I've seen in other threads where people mention something under the gear shifter possibly any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Your touch panel should have a row of lights, telling you what is missing for the jacks to operate. Are there any lights on? Have you tried the transmission in neutral? I found these powergear documents. Hope they help.

JackMags-

First off, welcome to iRV2!

Second, you should add a "signature" to your profile. It contains whatever info you want; most people put info about their coach there, so they don't have to type it into each message. Instructions for adding a signature are here.

Re: Power Gear leveling system. Perhaps the wiring diagram set below will help. It's dated 2007, so may apply to your coach. The diagram set has three pages: Workhorse, Ford and I don't know what. Anyway, look at the correct page for your coach's chassis. Is it built on a Ford or a Workhorse chassis?

wiring diagrams

Hi

Its on a ford chassis. The power gear level controller is on the diagram but it doesn't show any wires going to the main power pins. I need to trace pin #2 on that 6 pin connector shown on the diagram with no wires going to it labeled Main Power. Do you possibly have another diagram showing some wires going to that 6 pin connector. Is PS927B on the Ford chassis diagram suppose to be the Main Power 6 pins connector on the Power Gear Level Controller? If so it appears I need to locate CP927B and a relay that is connected to Pin 2 on PS927B? Any ideas on where those would be located? thanks for the help.

JackMags-

See the attached. Follow the yellow line. It eventually leads to P403, pin 5 as the source for 12V for the parking brake signal.

By other drawings I have, fuse F14 on the Front Distribution Panel (FDP) feeds P403, pin 5. It's a 5A fuse. I would start by checking the fuse and- if it's OK, whether or not you have 12V on its inlet side.

You'll find the FDP by opening the front-most storage bay on the driver's side, and opening the large plastic box you find there. The innards should look like below. You can ignore the red circle (for this problem). Fuse F14 should be 14th from the right on that long row near the top.

Checked fuse and inlet power

Hi
The 5A fuse was good and there was 12v on the inlet side of the fuse. I noticed you mentioned the parking brake signal but the error code with power gear system has to do with the transmission and the neutral safety switch. Do you have any recommendations where I should check next? Could it be the relay that the yellow wire goes through or CP927?
