Power Gear Leveling System 2007 Monaco Executive Sgnature

We are having intermittent leveling issues on the curb side of the coach!

1. It is a Power Gear air bag leveling system.
2. When auto leveling the curb side will leak off; requires releveling once a
day.
3. When manually leveling the curb side will leak off; requires releveling
once a day.
4. When manually, fully lifting the curb side it will hold and not leak off.
5. Had to disconnect the chassis self-leveling air pump because it would run
all the time (leads me to believe the air pump is not creating pressure).
6. If the air pump in bad, does anyone have a recommended replacement
part brand and part number?

First of all I replaced the original pump with a Viair 350C. I then moved it into a basement, the rearward basement on the passenger side to get it out of the weather, very pleased. It sounds as if either the pump is bad, the pressure switch is bad, or you have a leak between the pump and the leveling tank in addition to a leak in the system. Monaco installed many of the air lines for the pump wrong and installed the check valve up against the tank instead of right after the pump, you might check that. I, like most of us all on here have chased air leaks, it is the nature of the beast. I hope I was able to give you a start.

If your pump is creating pressure, here's a pressure switch that may have failed, which would allow the pump to run continuously.

I would spray every connection with natural gas leak detector. It may have a one way check valve that is damaged internally or a bag has a puncture. I am more familiar with semi tractors air bag systems. My Rv has hydraulic leveling, easy to spot leaks externally. The awful noise it makes on a silent night, is from an electric controlled release valve, not holding 100%. Hope this helps.

The control shows Power Gear and Valid, the air part should be a Valid System, here is the manual https://www.irv2.com/forums/download...do=file&id=317 and here is the air diagram https://www.irv2.com/forums/download...do=file&id=298
