Power mirror fuse?

My power mirrors do not work. I pulled out the switch and it ohm'ed ok. I pulled one of the mirrors off and tested to make sure it works ok. The plug to the switch has no power. So is there a fuse or breaker for it? If so then where? I checked the front fuse box and everything seems to be working, I checked the one behind the dash also. With motors in each mirror and a defroster system you would think it has some sort of protection. 1996 Holiday Rambler Endeavor LE. V8 Ford. Any ideas?

Welcome to iRV2.

You have to be sure you've found the right fuse box .
The Ford chassis fuse box would not have the mirror fuse in it ; because the coach builder installed the mirrors and switch with all the related wiring.

You might want to look under the black plastic step panel on the driver side. A while back I was checking things out and I seem to remember there might be an inline fuse holder under there. It should just pop up easily and you'll find a bunch of wiring under there.

Have read about some brand Class-C Ford Chassis that also had a DIODE under plastic driver's threshold that affects coach CHARGE CIRCUIT while traveling?

That I don't know. I just looked under the panel and do not see any fuses, just wire bundles, and some crimp connectors. My mirror heaters were wired in before the ignition key, so they might even be on a fuse marked for something else?

The Ford E-Cutaway USED FOR CLASS-c shows the mirror fuse #4 (15A) in panel at driver's left toe on firewall under dash. not SURE YOUR CHASSIS/ YEAR? I have read one post where owner felt mirror heat had killed battery, but it should be RELAY CONTROLLED to be off if IGN=OFF. Good Luck.

Ok so this RV is a Class A. I have found 2 fuse boxes. One under the hood ( Ford frame) the other behind the dash (Holiday Rambler). On Ford web site it lists the fuse box under the hood. Nothing about the mirrors. On the Holiday Rambler it lists a 1995 and a 1997 but no 1996. I was told that Harley Davidson Sold off their part in 1996 and that may by why no manual. the only things I can guess by both (they are slightly different) that it talks about spot #4 not being used in 1995 and something there in 1997. I will go check out #4 and either add a fuse or replace it. The Ford chassis has a spot #18 that shows a builders opening. I'll check this out and report back. THANKS!

power mirror fuse

There is not a spot for #38. 2008 and 1996 are different. Not that many fuses ect. Monday I will try to call Ford and Monaco both to see about more info,. I can not believe no one has had a problem with the power mirrors other that the specific mirror motor. Did I just hit the Stump the panel on this one? There is one more empty fuse that I will try to see if it will energize. Beyond that I guess I will try to follow the power wire back as far as I can then splice it and add in a fuse and go to hot somewhere. Anyone have a guess about amperage IE 10 15 20 or ?

With my 2010 E-450 Fleetwood Class C, the power mirrors AND mirror heaters operate with the ignition key off. Before I knew this, I was draining my chassis battery, but not since I discovered it, and keep the mirror heat switch off. According to my manual fuse #13 inside the cab is the mirror fuse, but is only 5 amps. I have no idea is the heaters are on the same fuse or not. BTW, does anyone know how to remove the fuse cover near the brake? The manual just says "remove cover" LOL!

So I got a schematic from Holiday Rambler that shows quite a bit of info. It feeds thru the mirror heater switch. A 10 amp fuse. Hard to read the drawing and this appears to be 1995. It does not specify which fuse block and I think it says # 16 or it is a 16 gauge wire. Either way i will pull the mirror heater switch and go from there. I will try to figure out to post the schematic as it is pretty informative and may be useful to others. I will update after I pull the switch. Thanks

Sooooo After my son told me to look over the dash I find a panel about 12x12 that is held in with velcro. I took the panel off and found panel #3. Wow I would not have guessed that. I found the wire that hand not been crimped correctly and that was why the mirror wire came loose. Ran a jumper and it works great. It had a 15 amp fuse so I installed a 10 amp fuse because that what it called for. Thanks for all the inputs!!! Now lets hit the road!!!
