Power Steering Fluid Change W/Filter

I am getting ready to change the filter and canister fluid for my power steering unit. My owners manual states Dextron III is the correct fluid. But, when I look at the fluid now in the power steering canister, I see a clear liquid similar to that used on my auto's power steering unit(s). Who has changed their power steering fluid, and what type of fluid did you use as a replacement? I know that some of the power steering unit manufacturers recommend using fluid that has mineral oil in their fluid. I am thinging about using that type of fluid as a replacement. Has anyone used this type of fluid as a replacement(with mineral oil)? It's a little more expensive that using regular power steering fluid, or Dextron III. The power steering unit on my 02' Diplomat was manufactured by Nelson. And as I understand from reading a post on another subject...., they have been bought out by Cummins. I suppose I could give cummins a call next week to see what they recommend. But, usually when I call them on an item such as this, they are not sure whether a particular unit is one of their supplied units or some else's. Any ideas are welcome concerning fluid changes in this type of unit(Nelson power steering unit in a 2002 Diplomat w/330 Cummins rear radiator).
Thanks,
David

David, I believe that is a mis-print in the owners manual. I think that it takes the same oil as you put in your engine.

Call Monaco to verify this.
