Pre-made slide toppers for 2008 Endeavor?

Anyone recently ordered slide toppers from measurement?

I own an industrial sewing machine and can order the fabric but I buried my scissors in the back yard after 30 years of upholstery and I didn't want to set up shop again.

Just as easy to order and have someone else do the work at this point in life.

I live in northern Canada but shipping shouldn't be too scary for these items.

Thanks
Dave

I have ordered from Tough Top Awnings 4 or 5 times. Always had quick service and great product. https://www.toughtopawnings.com/

Second on tough top. Watch RV Geeks you tube and you may also get a discount. I did mine 6 years ago, install was easy as I did bedroom slide by myself and had the wife assist me on the living slide. Very pleased with the replacement. Good luck, Don

There is no reason to replace, especially when you have a industrial sewing machine. At around 10 years the thread starts giving up... happened to both of my rigs at 10 years.

There was enough unused fabric on my 3 smaller slides to cut off the used and re-sew. The plastic insert was broken up so I used coax cable (same diameter) for the end that goes in the J channel. The larger LR slide had enough unused so 3/4 is now new.

Buy UV resistance thread and you will not have to re-sew in 10 years. Local boat canvas shop charged me $140 to re-sew all 4. I was able to remove and replace the 3 smaller ones by myself. The DW had to pull on a rope to help me get the LR one back in.

X2 on Stone Vos. The fabric was an exact match to my patio and window awnings. 10 year warranty on fabric and lifetime warranty on thread.

With the narrow curb side slides, you don't even need to do that.

Remove the material off the tube, swap the two beads (smaller dia one holds the material to the tube). Rotate the material 180 deg, and re-install.

You will have material that has never seen weather/ sunlight! The material that has been exposed will just roll up on the tube !

X 10 for Stone Vos. All of mine are now replaced and the material and threads are superior. I have met the owners several times and they will do a great job. They will talk you through measuring them.

Be careful, those darn spring mechanisms can ruin your day/fingers. Watch YouTubes for sure.

I have this large vice grip type clamp used for filter removals that worked a treat holding the things as I messed about. Two people make the job a lot easier.

Can't say enough good things about Stone Vos. You might find a couple of bucks cheaper somewhere but you won't find any better quality or service.

Wish it was that simple and good luck getting to plastic rods out. The larger of two different diameters plastic rods will not fit in the smaller hem plus the reason for replacing is because the thread that holds the rod in has failed... needs re-sewn plus the hems on both ends.

Even after resewing you may not get much life out of them. We did that and they lasted about a year or less before tearing. The materials useful life was gone.

Getting the plastic tubes things out was not an issue. Once the material in the slot gets moved a bit the whole awning material will slide out the end. You have to pull both sides at the same time of course and bringing the arm close to the rv makes it easier.

I highly recommend Stone Vos for toppers and awnings! Their acrylic fabric is really high-quality and the support is fantastic!
