Prewired for satellite?

We bought a 2006 Monaco Camelot 40PET. Want to add a satellite dish. We thought it was prewired for satellite according to the build sheet. Monaco said look in the refer vent on the roof. The PET has the refer in the slide so there is no vent on the "roof". Then we were told to look in the kitchen ceiling fan housing. Not there either. Anybody have any other ideas from experience where the wiring may be on a PET model? If it's on it at all??

Remove the floresent light fixture near where the lable is on the roof. You might find the pre-wiring there. If you go with an HD unit like the Moto-Stat or Trav,Ler you will need to add at least one aditional coax run.

Went through the same search by making phone calls and reading manuals but to no avail. Others recommended looking in ceiling light fixtures and air conditioning covers and still no cable.

Here's the bottom line. If you're looking at adding a high definition satellite dish, you'll need at least the number of coax cables that you have TV's, which in most cases are (2), maybe (3) if you have a bay TV. You'll also need a data cable from the dish to the controller for the Directv Travl'er, not sure about the other companies like Dish.

We found a path, approx. (4") running from the AC unit to the front coach cabinet area. Drilled the center roof where this trough was just below and ran the cables.

Hope this helps
