Tom, if you are not in big rush, join FMCA and use the tire advantage program for Michs and GY.

FMCA has a tire discount program for members... it's hard to say just how much of a discount and whether or not one can get a better deal by talking to various dealers. I did use the program last year but because I had a blow out on the road, was not able to do a real in depth search for a better price. I bought Michelins.

Knowing that my tires will age out before they wear out, and having TPMS that keeps correct pressures all the time, I elected to buy Samson tires to replace the 670s. Less than $2000 for the set, including mounting/balancing.

4500 miles later, I'm a happy camper.

IMO, that's a question that can't be answered factually; only opinion. If the DOT checks them, and if lots of truckers use them, and if they don't spend a ton of money advertising in order to reduce selling price, then that's OK with me.

My wife and I ride on them. While getting them installed, I saw two blown/destroyed Michelins at the dealer, so it can happen to any brand.

IMO, correct air pressure is key. If you have a TPMS, then it's fine, but I'm not trying to sell you on any brand. It just worked for us.

Before you make a deal on the GY G670's, I highly recommend you do a search on them.

Personally, I would look into replacing them with Hankook tires. Lots of satisfied owners here on this forum.

I would skip on Good Year, prefer Michelin or Hankook.

Pricing new set of tires help!!!!

Toyo makes a quality tire in many different sizes and tread designs, I had timed out Bridgestones on my coach replaced them with Toyo's for half the price.

I put Hankook ah12 on mine last year and they have been good so far for less than half that in east Tn.
