Problem installing Brake Switch
I'm installing the Brake Switch unit that some of you folks have installed.
I have a 2003 Safari Sahara, the wires in the front run panel don't match up with
the numbers on the installation page?
It says 62A is the brake lamp wire,But on later moho it could be 155?
The wiring loom in my moho looks nothing like the one in the picture.
Anyone installed one of these?

Phil.....In the exterior bay under the driver's seat you should have the large fuse box. Under that are two small boxes, #1 and #2. I'm not sure what you've already found or if these boxes exist in your coach. Make sure you're looking at the correct box to locate the wiring. As you stated, some of the wires are numbered differently.
I REALLY wanted my Brakeswitch to work, but Monaco didn't wire my brake lights into my exhaust brake. We never could fix the problem.
Homer, from Brakeswitch, will personally walk you through your installation if you need help. He's a good guy.
When I initially wired mine in, I used crimped on male/female spades to make the connection. If you ever have an issue with the switch, you can just unplug it and return the wiring to stock.
Hope this helps.

Mr
Don,
My front run bay looks nothing like the one in the picture. All my wires are in 3-4 looms,I cut off most of the tie straps so I could look at each wire[so many of them]
The ones that say brake light or exhaust brake out or exhaust enable have different numbers than the instruction sheet ?
I will Monaco next week?

Phil.......I would call Homer first at Brakeswitch. I don't think Monaco will be much help. The Brakeswitch website also has instructions for chassis wiring for other than Roadmaster. You may have wire it via the generic instructions where you would chase down the wires off of the individual components like the stop light switch, Allison box etc.

Phil- IIWMI'd go straight to the wires off the brake light switch & exhaust brake switch (I assume you have the latter, sure you have the former). I also like Don's idea of spade clips for a neat and reversible installation, just in case some part of the process doesn't go correctly.

The best install plan is to do what Eng Mike recommended and call Homer as Dip Don suggested. Not all of the wires and numbers on our '06 End wires did not match up and ended up wiring directly off the exh brake switch in the side console. Homer was great to work with and helped out a lot.
I'll see if I can find the wiring diagram I came up with. Can't promise though, we sold our house and moved out and the good Lord only knows where everything is. I was also able to keep the cruise control engaged with the exh brake enabled. Taping the brakes released the cruise control and turned on the exh brake.
