Propane or Electric

Funny how the discussion here is electric vs propane BUT people jump in and talk about residential fridges. Everyone has their own preference but the OP asked a simple question about which was cheaper to run his 1200 on. Btw it is not a 5 dollar difference. If it was I would be running my 1200 on electric but it is more like 50 dollars or more. Plus it does run cooler on propane.

Is a residential safer yes but everyone has their own preferences. I have been told that you make a Norcold safer but I am not sure about that perhaps.

I run my 1200 on propane as I have every winter here in Tx. Why because it is cheaper. I added fans to mine and I am able to run it on a setting of 4 or 5 but does it keep ice cream hard NO, but it does keep the box cold and the freezer about 5. That is in 90's temperature.

I like propane, I wouldn't own an all-electric coach but that is my choice.
Btw I am changing my fridge to a residential but it's for space not for what it costs to operate.

Life is about choices and that what it is all about.

Very happy you guys love your Residential Fridges, for now I'm sticking with my propane/electric unit, it has not given me a reason to replace, I have hard ice cream plus saves & wear tear on generator and neighbors are happier without diesel smell, also my propane tank runs from passenger to drivers side, I think the last time I filled it was 2016.
