Last year we enjoyed sitting around the campfire in the evening so if you have firewood (or anything else to burn ) please bring it.

We don't believe in (have) GPS. We will have to call on the phone and receive guidance directly from Mama

Becky everything looks good, the only thing I could say is a potluck breakfast is the same as a potluck dinner, except you have breakfast foods, juice and coffee, and you do it in the AM instead of the PM
If everyone wants it we just need to start a Breakfast list.

Your doing a great job we cant wait to meet everyone and have fun.

Mic,
I knew the turn off was down that road a few miles or so and your help refreshed my memory. As I haven't tried using coordinates as a destination in my Garmin yet, I think I'll give it a try. Thanks for the reply.
Do I need to bring a bottle of wine and wait until Ric finishes it before he starts on my computer? Never mind, I think it is running just fine!
Now, isn't wine a potluck item? Just tying to keep on subject.

This lat/long is showing as 27 miles south of Quartzsite on my Microsoft Streets and Trips. Could you confirm it?

Hi Ric & Mic,
Terry & Shirley will be there before us by few days, but not sure of arrival date. Sheryl & I will see you two Tues.
I know you gave the coordinates for the entrance, but do you remember the miles from I-10?
See you soon.

Harry Happycarz,
From the intersection of Kuehn Road and i95 it was about 2.4 miles and the Las Posas South entrance is on the east side of i95.

The GPS coordinates at the entrance are 33.37320°N -114.12580°W

Coming from Phoenix on i10, you'll probably get off at the first offramp, not the offramp at the Love's. You probably know, but you'll travel on the surface road, crossing over the freeway and eventually getting to Kuehn and i95. I posted some street signs on this earlier thread. Las Posas South signs

I think Terry & Shirley have our phone number if they want to give us a call. I know you have our number. (Last night Rick said to bring your computer questions. I wonder if he remembers that this morning? )

MM, sorry to post directions on your potluck thread.

Harry & Sheryl,
We're thrilled that you're going to make it! We'll make sure you don't go hungry. And if I remember correctly, Sheryl didn't let you starve last year.

We are soooo looking forward to seeing everyone again. And meeting new friends also!

(Is Terry going to make it also?)

Lukeaa,
The entrance to Las Posas South LTVA is 2.4 miles south on i95 from the intersection of Kuehn Rd. and i95. The entrance is on the east side.

To help locate the entrance, watch for a small building (toll Both) on the left as you are driving south. This is where you buy your permit.

That is the entrance to about 160,000 acres of BLM land. Where to next? I will be looking for the sign and Ron and Mama's SFT.

Quartzsite was rocking today. There seem to be a lot more businesses than in years past. Looks like a good year in the desert. As always, we are over in Blythe at the Mayflower County Park, having a good time with the regulars. There is plenty of room, if anyone wants to stop here before going boondocking. Right on the river and right on the price.
