I read somewhere that the camping fee of $40 for 14 days has to be paid by cash or check. And that the BLM staff doesn't have the ability to give change. You also have the ability to move to other areas within the LTVA system.

This is where we camped last year - La Posa South.

Harry...
You will find out when everyone is arriving if you look at this post. (We are actually going to be there the 15th and staying a good long time... maybe a second potluck or Salmon dinner may be in order...)

We'll be watching for that "second" go-around. Current plan is to attend the Blythe Bluegrass Festival Jan. 16-19 and then head over to Q. We'll track you all down somewhere along the way.

Judy... how is the "Monarch project" going? Any new leads for a "future" Monaco Owners Forum member?

We're still trying to sell the Monaco. Have it at Sierra College again this weekend and dropped the price substantially. A few "interested" parties, a couple of very low offers, so we'll see what happens today.

We decided to take the Horizon to Q later this week. We'll leave the Monaco safely parked in our RV storage area until we return in late March. Maybe the weather and economic climates will be better then.

We'll definately recommend the new owners check out the iRV2 forum.

Kablewizard suggested that we move the POtluck sign-ups as a featured post HERE. Please make sure you post your potluck dishes so we can make sure we have a good count for food amounts.

I took a ride out to the area today and when I input the coordinates there was 1 number to many on the north one. As I sat in the entrance I looked and it and it read N33.37.339 W 114.13.135. No matter which one you use the camping area will be on the left (east side), 2 miles south of the stop light. Look for the sign and it is the second set of camp areas the first is north and west (1 on each side of the street) then the south and wash areas. Now we just need a good marker inside. Once I get there I will try and make the Irv2 banner I have seen from the road. We will get in around noon on the 15th. See you all soon. I will have my CB if you keep it on I will start calling when we enter the gate or PM me your phone number plaese.

OK Guys,
I don't get it. I tried both the co-ordinates GoneFishin and Kablewizard posted. I used copy and paste (so I know I did not type them wrong) into maps.google.com and neither set works.
These work with google: 33°37'36.15"N 114°13'00.30"W

I always thought lat. and long. were 4 sets of 2 #'s. (Degrees, hours, minutes, and seconds)Evidently there are different ways of entering these numbers depending upon which system your GPS uses.

SacsTC,
Try this format in Goolgle Maps: N33.37339 W 114.13135 or this one: +33° 22' 24.20", -114° 7' 52.86"

Sacs; I have the Garmen 2620 and I saved the coordinates sitting just outside the gate. I read them wrong sorry didn't have my glasses on it should be N 33.37.353 W 114.13.135 the North was wrong. Again thats only the gate. One thing is you might be getting the wrong one, as I said there are 4 sites there all listed under one name on the hand out they gave me. Watch for the sign that GoneFishin posted and you will be there.
