Well, we made it to Quartzsite and found Drifter with no problems. Of course it helped we were following GoneFishin' & FishBum who have been here before.
The only thing that we might have found confusing along the way had we been on our own was the transition from I-10 to Hwy 95. I expected that when we took the exit for 95, we would turn directly onto Hwy 95. That is not the case. Once exiting, we had to make a couple of qucik turns to get us onto a frontage road - parallelling I-10 - for a mile or two before turning south onto 95. Once onto 95, it was extremely easy.
As we and GoneFishin' were getting situated, Cable Wizard pulled in too. So we are now a group of 4 RVs, eagerly awaiting the arrival of the rest of the gang.

Cheetah Girl...
We are about 15 miles west of Needles on I-40...so it looks like we are a couple of hours out still...

And I meant to mention that it's paved road practically to our doorstep. We're maybe 100' off the paved road on hard packed gravel.

Sluuuurppp.....AHhhhhh, a nice cup-o-java this bright beautiful clear desert morning! I'm looking forward to the "Big Tent" rv sale here in Quartzite.
We're happy to say that everyone made it safe here yesterday and hope all is well with you other's on your way. This place that Drifter set up is awesome! All of the rv's across the desert is surreal and cool at the same time. Hard to explain.
Have a great one.

What a beautiful desert we have in the southwest! And although there are thousands of RVs spread out as far as we can see, it still looks beautiful to me.
There were 5 rigs until MM and Sacs arrived (safely) after dark. I'm sure there will be more arrive today. As the week goes on we'll get more photos to share with those of you who couldn't be here. (A special "hello" to Robin_M. Wish you were here to enjoy this weather.)
Here are a couple (so-so) photos from our first day. I've put more photos on my blog.

Hey Brick! Glad your enjoyin' yer coffee. We're still here in Vegas resting up after the CES show and having our new back-up monitor installed. We've made previous plans to stay at a friends RV site with water and 'tricity but will definitely make it to the IRV2 gathering. We want to meet some of the folks we know from the forum. Happy Trails!

Drifter:
I suppose I just have to look for the stack of empty wine/beer bottles??? Or, since your boondocking again, I just have to open the window and follow the aroma....I am sure I'll find you guys one way or the other. See you Sunday afternoon!!
