Question about LED bulb replacement in undercounted puck lights

I'm in the process of changing out the bulbs in my undercabinet puck lights. Did you guys remove the concave domed reflector used with the halogen bulb before attempting to install the circular style LED cluster, or were you able to slide it in and make it fit. We have a 2006 Diplomat
Thanks
Doug

I have a Winnebago, but I did remove the reflector from mine before installing the LED pucks. The LEDs are downward directional.

If you purchase the kind Led's that we have with a G4 base like mine, I trimmed about 3/16 off the prongs so they would be mounted more in the center of the lamp.
Here is what we used.

Mike, how does the brightness compare with the halogens?

Joe, these are the second set of Led's we have had, much better than the first set that didn't have voltage regulators. The new led's are much closer to a true 20W with a soft 3000K range much like the orignal Halogens and they have a voltage regulator.

If I follow what you did; you shortened the leads and the units fit flat with clearance under the reflector. Am I understanding this correctly?
Can you tell me the diameter of the LEDs units you purchased from the link mentioned above? I'm not sure how to judge the size from the dimensions mentioned in the description.
Thanks
Doug

I answered my own question. Found further dimensional details on the Hero LED page on Amazon. Looks like the diameter is 1.1 inches.
Thanks

Doug,
I put these in the puck lights from M4@m4sales.com
They use to give you a 5% discount. Plug in "RVGEEKS5" for the coupon
natural white SKY # G4-6-5630-side-NW

Now you MAY prefer the warm white. I'm not sure of the sku #, but a phone call to them would answer that.
I did these several years ago and none have burnt out. With technology, I see you can replace the entire light fixture for possibly less than I paid for the bulbs. I think I saw them on Etrailer, but they are all over amazon.

I've just finished replacing ALL my ceiling florescent fixtures with LED pucks mounted in a nicely detailed wood frame which matches the wood work of the coach. The florescent's were causing grief with my multiplex system.

When I converted my puck lights to LED's, I removed the reflectors (how many would you like?). The reflectors no longer serve any purpose as the LED's are directional (point downward).

Totally agree that they are not needed. Did you have to break them out? I'm not with my coach at the moment, but when I took a quick look mine looked like they were glued in and might be a pain to remove

Dimmable LEDs

The under cabinet halogens in our 03 HR Endeavor are on dimmers.

Has any one had any luck sourcing dimmable LEDs small enough to fit in the holder. I ordered some off Amazon thinking they were the right size but when they arrived they were too big for the fixture.

I can find lots of solutions that will fit but they all seem to be non-dimmable.

Thanks

We have a 2006 Diplomat and chose to remove the reflectors. They snap out if memory serves. I have a few photos:

As Bob said, reflectors were not difficult to get out. A small hooked tool would help. I believe Gustavson makes the puck lights.

I believe most LED lights can be dimmed WITH the RIGHT dimmer switch. The resistance type dimmer switch will not work. It has to be some kind of electronic dimmer.

I got my LED's from www.cabinbright.com. Suggest you call Joe Brignolo at Cabin Bright to discuss dimmers. Phone: 513.899.9152 Cell: 513.404.8888 brignolo@soncov.com;
