I made it, the cost for laser for the emblem, bending all 4 edges: 175.00. The poly plastic for light lens about 12.00. The actual 18 gauge mirror SS piece. 65.00.
All measurement are different, because all step covers are not same. Snowflakes remember.

Your mirror bases can be re chromed by this company:
SpaceCoast Plating in melbourne florida
David Pratt who owns a Monaco is the owner of this company and his chrome plating will last for the life of your coach. You will have to remove the bases and send to him. I've had both of mine done in years past and both are still perfect.

Sorry I have not checked this forum for a week or so... My step cover is Electric... I do have to repair it!

Sorry guys I've been slammed for a couple of weeks and haven't been on here. It is a regular wall mount from Walmart that I attached to a home built bracket that clips to the underside of the slide. It is not screwed into the slide floor in any way and is an easy on/off set up. If you have questions you can call me about how I built it and set it up 479-857-5137. I'm traveling right now and can't explain to my wife how to post the steps 🤣. I could post pics later when home. All day trip today to pick up a stacker trailer so pics would be tomorrow at earliest. Again sorry for the delay in my response. Rick

Sorry for delay in reply. I've been busy last few weeks and haven't been on. I haven't cut the slide wall yet. Tv mount is a wall mount attached to a homemade bracket that slides under the slide wall and clips in place. I build and work on custom cars, streetrods etc... I have a technique where I can use a sawzall to cut through a finished 1923 T body and install a door... it makes a clean cut for a paintless door installation. I've never done it to a motorhome so when I undertake the entertainment cabinet it will be my first. But I've done multiple streetrods and after installing door, trim and interior there is little to no paint touch up required... I hope that answers your question. Rick

Satellite Conversion
OK, I have an upgrade. My 2004 Monaco has a KVH TracVision L3 in Motion Dome. I contacted KVH and they told me that it is NOT Dish Network Compatible and that within 1 year it will not work for DirectTV with no upgrades offered. So I went on a path to convert the dome to an affordable alternative as I really do not want to spend $1500 plus. First my Musts:
1. Must be Dish Network (I have dish at home today)
2. Does not have to be an in motion type.
3. Must work on the roof of the RV.
After looking at the alternatives and doing the classic internet searches I settled in on a Winegard PAE100R DISH Playmaker sold by Amazon for $419.99. My goal was to gut out the existing dome and put the Playmaker inside of it. My existing dome is color matched to my RV and I really did not want to have to remove mounts from the roof and have to contend with patching those spots. So today I removed the old assembly and was able to replace it with a new Playmaker inside, and it works great! I did have to cutout a "riser" inside the center of the dome floor to provide a level surface for the Playmaker to sit on, and was able to keep the existing rubber mounts. I used 100% Silicone RTV on each of the 4 legs and simply sat the unit inside the existing base and made up a short cable to connect up to the old cable that was feeding the KVH. It works great! I am really curious to see how well this will work while driving, and if it does not work, I really don't care as it is not a requirement!
4 photos: one is the old satellite assembly that was removed, Silicone added to bottom feet, new satellite assembly prior to replacing the dome cover, and finally the completed project.

Do you have factory installed solar on top of yours? Wondering if that changes the layout?

In any case whatever light you put into the handle is better then none at all. I did like the motion detector light above the door some of the attendees at Quartzsite purchased and installed. Saves the battery when you are dry camping, and adds a little piece of mind (security). Even helps find the key hole when returning to the coach. deSanford....$129.00 is a little too rich for a lighted grab bar at this time for me.

LED Indicator Light Conversion
Another upgrade that I did was to replace 3 of my LED Switch indicator lights that are used on the water pump circuit.
Two were burned out, and given they cost $10 each on Amazon, I decided to use LED Strip light segments...
They are nice and bright!

VERY creative mod on the KVH dish! I have the same dish and dreading an upgrade.
And the LED's in the switches, too. I've been replacing them with Radio Shack mini-bulbs, but with their demise I need a new source. Got lots of strip lites left-over from my flourescent-to-LED project for interior, so this will work great.... even got some multi-color ones
