Bed Box
Pulled out the bed box to fix the grooves the rollers had dug into the wood (sagging and dragging on carpet).
Anyone have closeup pictures of how they braced the bed box with the aluminum angle and SS plates on the bottom?
10Boomer's carpet turned out so nice I think I'll follow his lead and replace mine.

Mike, If your 'bed box' is part of a slideout, the guru is Chris Throgmorton at StoneVos in Fla.

Ah Hah! Bed box, like in a bed. Not too sharp this morning. How to fix a slideout (bed box) floor is Chris's thing. Throgmartin (sp), my mistake.

Mike here’s some pics, I used elevator bolts on bottom, but if you have a good bite in the interior wood it should be good like Barry’s.

Thanks for the pictures guys,
I've got the box out and the carpet removed. What a job. Sore from one end to the other.
Quite a bit of black soot on the back wall of the closet. Looks like I'll be sealing the area up before the new carpet.

The bed box didn't seem sturdy at all so I pried off a piece of 5mm cherry trim.
I'm amazed at the poor construction.
Also looking for carpet. Found something new (to me anyway). Carpet backed with felt. Supposedly never needs stretching. Added insulation and sound deadening. Very pliable and conforms to corners well.
Anyone use this?

Mike, if it doesn't hurt it doesn't work!
I stripped my bedroom out and installed an electric adjustable bed frame. I had to do a tiny bit of modification but with your talents it would be nothing.
I wish I could have installed a dual adjustable but this one is working out nicely. I bought the frame on Amazon.
