Mike,

that's the same floor plan as mine. I hope to change out my carpet later this year. When I installed my wood floors, I pulled up the carpet 'flap' so I could get up to the slide. My black plastic flap is actually 2 pieces with about 12" separation. I didn't really pay attention to it until I saw your picture.

Does your carpet go under the cabinet in your picture?

Original carpet is under the cabinet. I trimmed it flush and will tuck the new carpet under and staple along the edge.

These projects don't seem to end.

Looks great. Did you have a ton of staples, or was I the lucky one!🤣

Not a ton of staples. Most came out with the carpet. In all I spent less than an hour removing staples that were left.

Anyone have closeup pictures of how they braced the bed box with the aluminum angle and SS plates on the bottom?

10Boomer's carpet turned out so nice I think I'll follow his lead and replace mine.
Here you go.

Got a call today saying my carpet won't arrive for another week and a half.
Time to think of another project in the meantime.

You guys are a wealth of information. After reading your posts I looked and have some wearing under the bed from the rollers. I looked at the exterior bottoms of all my slides and have no rot or separation, may still look into the Guardian Plates that I have seen you guys refer to. We just picked up our 07 Diplomat last October and have been doing some minor things, new stereo and sub-woofer, Progressive EMS-HW50 surge protection (installed after the gen xfer switch) Garmin 770 w/backup camera, Tire Pressure Monitor System, TS Performance module. And led lights and new Lifeline AGM batteries. Fixing a lot of cabinet hinge screw holes. Looks like the Guardian plates and bed rails may be next year, possibly flooring and carpet as well. You guys have already addressed a lot of my questions here on the how to areas. Looks like I'll have to come back for more answers. Heading off to Moab the to OK City in April, that will be our first trip over a week since we got the coach, the off to Alaska this summer.

Add me to the list of people that want to upgrade their entry steps. I have always appreciated the practicality of the easy to clean vinyl steps, but at the same time I hated the aesthetics of the plain black color.

I saw Perry and Harry's entry steps at Quartzite and fell in love with their beautiful workmanship that solves the aesthetic issue with a solution that is far superior to what Monaco used for my era Camelot.

Looking forward to seeing photos of how bill's entry turns out as well.

Jim

Hey John,

Yours also looks great. I didn't see it at Q. Very nice job.

I saw Johns and Perrys at QZ. Both impressive. I didn't see Harry's, however.
