Racor 790R30 Filter install.

Finally got around to installing my new fuel filter/pump. Very easy install with the most amount of time making a new bracket for mounting.
Wiring is a simple plug-in to existing plug.
Thanks again to Mike Canter for recommending this system.
No more worries about the old pump failing as it did with Mike.

Question? Can I use this pump to prime the secondary filter when I change it?
Thanks, Iver.

Topman,

I made the same change a while back. Wish I had done it when I first got our coach. It is a really good unit.

Mine doesn't have the electric primer. Mine has the hand pump primer. I was concerned at first that possibly that was a mistake. It wasn't. It works really well. After I change the filters, about ten pumps on the primer and the engine is ready to run.

Jim

Iver, great job. Yes you can use the pump to prime the primary and secondary filters. It will take about 60 seconds to do it.

I have one of these filters on my exec, but the controller is missing. The pump is good but no way to use it. Any ideas where to get a controller.

The wire harness kit is part # RK22902
The control panel part # RK22943

Hope that helps,

Jim is yours the original RACOR unit that was installed or is this the new replacement. The original is painted white and the new one is aluminum.
