We lived in the Sacramento Valley in California when we first installed the fan blade.

Climbing over the Grapevine in Southern California several times and over the Sierras more times than I can count I can promise you there is plenty of cooling with the fan they built. It gets to 100 and over in the valley and easily to 80-90 in the Sierras in the Summer.

I have pulled a toad on the majority of those trips. As with any climb, keep your rpm's up for maximum cooling if needed and just watch your transmission temps as well as the engine temps.

I see a higher rise in temps if sitting idling in a protracted traffic jam such as an accident. Then placing the tranny in neutral and hitting the cruise to raise the rpm's above idle the temps fall quickly if they have creeped up at all.

Changing that fan is one of the best modifications I have done. I would do it in a second again.

You hit it on the head yc1, I live in a very humid part of the country you live in a low humid part of the country, I never have to put my coach in neutral to cool it down. In the right part of the country one can get by with less air movement. Good conversation

Actually Tom, I used the past tense of living.
We lived in Northern CA until ten years ago. We have lived in Central Florida for ten years now and have traveled all over the US in every kind of terrain imaginable.

The only time we experienced any overheating was when the thermostat went bad. There was an updated version of it and that solved the problem.

Tom
If you get the Multi-wing and OEM specs from Larry @ Superior Turbo you will see the cfm on both fans @ specific rpm. The multi-wing fan blade uses less H.P. to drive and provides the same or better cfm for cooling.
Multi-wing fans are high performance fans, as said by others ???
Follow the science testing.

Thanks to all for info, I did call source engineering, after our conversation i decided to go with oem fan blade since my mpg is 8.5, power is good, i don't hear noise in mh and temp runs 182-195. Just a preference thing. I have solved many issues with the help of this forum, thanks so much.
