Radiator Drama

Driving across the dessert leaving Las Vegas this summer my radiator went out and the coach had to be towed to a shop in Barstow, CA (that was hard to watch). I understand it is an aluminum radiator and I was told it couldn't be repaired and needed to be replaced. Well, of course the extended warranty company would not buy into that and only approved a repair. So, the radiator was patched up. This whole process going back and forth with the warranty company took almost two months while my coach sat in Barstow. I was told that a new radiator would cost $7,000.

I'm thinking I'm going to have to replace this radiator soon. Has anyone had any experience with this? Also, I'm not sure where my temperature gauge stayed before the radiator repair but now it seems a little high (see attached picture). When climbing small hills it can go to almost to the "H." Any good deals on radiators out there?

$7000 for a new radiator you need to do some shopping way too high maybe why the claim was turned down

I damaged my Diplomat rear radiator beyond repair from road debris two years ago in Watson Lake Yukon. Monaco wanted $6000.00 plus shipping and duty because I was in Canada at the time. Radiator shop in Ft Nelson had one of his oil field buddies in Edmonton build me a new brass/copper readiator and he installed for less than $2500.00 Canadian. It’s worked great.

There are several places that sell radiators for our coaches for ~$2000, one is in Alabama and another in Oregon I believe. There are multiple threads about them in this forum so you can do a search by using the search this forum link at the top of the main forum page.
