Firstly, NEVER try to power up the hot water without insuring that you have bled all of the air from the tank. Do this by running an outlet, such as the kitchen sink since this is the farthest from the tank until no air "burping" happens. Turning on the tank heating without doing first is not a good thing. It will destroy the 110V element in a hurry and certainly be bad for the tank itself if you use the LPG burner.

Is it automatic LP until you switch to shore power? No water in the system yet. How do I switch to LP as I see nothing on the main control panel except for electric.

It confused me too when I first picked up the Dip. That "12V" label should say "LP" just like the fridge.

Again, never turn on either heater unless the hot water tank is full of water. There is a hot water tank bypass valve near the tank that you'll want to check to make sure water flows into the tank.

Mama,

On your coach it is behind a little white door on the aft wall of the rear flow-through storage compartment on the curb side - just inside the compartment door. It's only used when you winterize the coach for winter storage.

Don't know where it is on the SKQ floor plan. The water heater may be in a different place.

It's right behind the water heater in the back closet. Small access panel.

Remember where that by-pass valve is on the 2008 40SKQ - that is the only problem we have had in a year - hot water went out one day - it was heating okay just wasn't getting to the coach. Found that a by-pass check valve was faulty. I would image the part cost about $ .49 - 3 hours of work by tech and $300.00 bill - Monaco paid it. I just left the check valve out of the system - we don't winterize and I can't see any other reason for it.
