Recalls

I read that there was a recall on the catalytic converter on my 2003 Monaco LaPalma. Is there a phone number to call or a website to enter my VIN # into to find out if that was changed out?

Depending on if it's Ford or Chevy chassis contact that dealer and they can ck with your VIN number or go here:

It is rare that <2005 motors have catalyst (actually SCR - What is SCR? | Diesel Technology Forum) ,that emission control is really a post 2011 requirement. At most, a 2005 motor would require a particulate filter - DPF. What engine is this?

Did you actually get something in the mail? If not, I doubt it applies to you.

Jimmy, Jimmy: Where are you getting that info? SCR has very little to do with a catalytic convertor. 2 different emission systems. 2007 was the first year for DPF's. 2010 gave us the SCR with DEF fluid . Catalytic convertors have been around for a long time. The OP has a Lapalma. I am just about positive it is a gas engine vehicle. If so it would have a catalytic convertor. Gas engines never had DPF's or SCR. To the OP: Have you contacted Monaco to see if they have any info on your problem? If you contact Ultra RV (they advertise on this forum) and if you have a Workhorse chassis they will run your vin and it will show all recalls that have been performed. Workhorse did have a recall on the convertor. Also the brakes. Remember Workhorse is gone so you will probably have to pay for any repairs. Not sure about the brakes. Those might still be covered.

My mistake for assuming we were talking about a DP.
