recoating the roof

we've got a 2008 monaco monarch witha fiberglass roof. the coating on the roof is chalking and every time it rains a white film runs down the outside walls. can i wash off the chalked coating and apply another coat of paint? if so, what kind of paint is recommended?

I just painted mine with marine 1 part epoxy topside paint . Polyurethane actually. Easy enough to do. I expect it to hold up well.

The fiberglass roof on most coaches is just white gelcoat fiberglass, not paint. As it oxidizes white chalk like dust comes loose and washes down the sides.

I also just painted mine today with this:
