Why does my Refrigerator shut off when it is in LP mode, the inverter is on, and I start the generator?

Does your frig have an "auto" setting? If so it should automatically switch from propane to electric when connected to shore power or generator and continue to run.

LP mode is propane gas mode.

You need the propane on and the use/store switch on, for 12 volt power in the fridge control circuits.

Can't remember if you can put the frig in manual LP mode. If you have the frig in Auto then as Topman says it will switch back to the electrical mode when the generator starts. Before installing a residential frig that is the way we always operated the frig.

Hit the mode button, you will see LP. I use this setting when dry camping and using the Honda 2000I.

What do YOU mean by "Why does my Refrigerator shut off when it is in LP mode.." ?
