Replace outside refrigerator access door with water tight door

2004 Monaco Sig. My access refrigerator door is leaking. I am in the process of replacing the old Norcold frig with a residential frig. During the tear out of the old floor platform I found water damage which has caused some damage to inside wall. I found a crack on the outside trim which seems to be causing the leak problem. I have attempted to put some sealer on the area but the still getting some water coming in to this area. Also, I have sealed the vent opening with the insulation tape that Vito recommended in his instructions on replacing the old Norcold. But wind and hard rain water is still coming in.

I am considering replacing the door, frame and trim with a door from Rec Pro that i will have to special order for the size opening which is 22" wide by 14" height. It will lock and be water tight. Just curious if any one has done this.
Thanks Roy (Softballnut)

Roy ; look carefully at the installation info for your new fridge ; most require air circulation around the fridge ; particularly up the rear of the fridge .

Cutting off circulation can cause the residential fridge to overheat and fail .
