Replacing Carpet Found Slide Problem

We decided to replace all the carpet in our Camelot. I removed the sofas and the Sleep Number king bed which is in the road side bedroom slide. I then removed the entire bed frame from the slide and discovered the problem we have had with that slide since purchasing the coach.
When I would deploy or retract that slide, about half way thru the travel the auto reset circuit breaker would trip. After about 20 seconds, it would reset and then I could complete the slide travel. I replaced the slide motor, replaced the control board, spent countless hours looking for a bad connection, and adjusting the slide, all to no avail until today.
What I found was a screw under one of the inside rollers(apparently since the new build) which had locked up the roller resulting in damaging the roller and the bottom side of the wood frame.
I installed a 1/8" thick plate 4" wide and 30" long on the bottom side of the wood frame on each side to run on the new rollers. All is well again.
It is amazing that something so simple can cause a grown man so many hours of anguish.

you would not believe all the trash, extra screws, never used butt connectors that I find on all coach manufacturers. I keep all the good stuff- or give it to the owner

Good thing that motorhomes are such simple things. Look at it this way, your slide will now delight and amaze you. You also have a story to tell. Oh and that new look to enjoy. Bet you're happy right now. Or maybe you're too busy looking out the window at the scenery to notice
