replacing ceiling light bulbs help please

04 Beaver Marquie, for the life of me can't get the glass center to come out of ceiling lights so I can replace the burnt bulb. Pushed, pulled, twisted, etc nothing. Any help much appreciated.

Some of the pot lights are spring mounted and can be pulled down for better access.

Something like this,

It will turn. It is not a pull or pry thing. Counter-clocwise as you would intuitively expect. Try using one of those thin rubber grippers that you use to open jars. That works for us.

If it is the all glass lens in the actual ceiling, take a butter knife and run between the glass and the padded ceiling all the way around. They get kind of glued to the ceiling from the heat and then you have trouble trying to unscrew them. If it is the lens in the bottom of your cabinets, take a very small screw driver and pry the metal base right next to the lens to pop out just the glass portion. Randy

Here are a couple of pictures of the halogens that came from my 04 Monterey. If you have the same type the entire bezel turns counter-clockwise. Hopefully I did this correctly. It is the first time I have tried to attach pictures to a post.

My Patriot Thunder had the same issue, followed Drifter's directions. They separate easily once you have them hanging down. They are just a lousy design and they jam.

On our '04 Monterey, I "simply" turn the metal bezel counterclockwise and it drops off. If one hasn't been removed in 10 years it doesn't turn easily, but by wetting my fingertips for grip they always come off.
