Rhino-Liner (or similar) to Cover 3M Film?
I just saw in another thread where Marco54 covered his cracked 3M film on the front with Rhino-Liner, and I hope he sees this and chimes in. I'm very interested in his project and getting his thoughts/feedback, as I'm considering doing the same thing. I've also researched plastic-paint (Krylon Fusion), etc.
Thoughts? Comments?

My thoughts are that the rhino liner would cover best because of being hot applied.
I have had rhino liner in several trucks and it is very durable.
What other questions do you have?

why would you want to do that, a truck bed liner would look less than good on the nose of a Monaco, why not just redo the existing 3m it lasts 10-15 years

Thanks for finding me, Marco54.
I wasn't aware that rhino-liner goes on hot. That does make sense in that it would probably stick better, and maybe somewhat impregnate itself right into the 3M. I'll have to do a lot more research into it. Does it come in any other colors, or just the black? Do you know what surface prep is necessary, or can it be put on right over the 3M
I've been thinking of covering mine with plastic paint. I did a small section awhile back and it seemed to do good so far. I like the idea of dark gray vs black - less obtrusive sez the wife.

Rhino & LineX both can pretty much match colors now. The difference with them is warranties. With Rhino you have to return to the place that put it on, with LineX it can be done at any LineX place. I've only seen one in person. It was a LineX, and they really did a good job of matching the color of the coach. And since it can be done in white now, I've considered having the roof done. No more caulking, and damn near indestructible.

I took my 3m off, takes time but turned out great, my thoughts on the Rhino or Line X is that stuff is heavy, the front cap doesn't need anymore help pulling it down, you could be opening a can of worm's???

I did this myself last year. Just made a trip from Fla to Texas, love bugs wash right off. I get compliments all the time how GOOD it looks and how practical it is. You can get any color you want and its Far cheaper than a bra and will last as long as the coach.

'gator - nice job. You said you did it yourself? What'd you use?
Sorry for all the questions. Right now we're in the FL Keys and tethered to a 3G MiFi. Slow speed and expensive to do a lot of surfing, so I gotta ask y'all the dumm questions directly.

Both Rhino and Line-X now come in CLEAR also. Saw it at the Dallas/Ft.Worth RV & Boat Show.
