Right Mirror Camera

When I start my coach the right side mirror camera is completely inoperative..... when I turn my right side turning signal on........ no picture. Two to five minutes later the camera is up and running..... everything is ok. All other cameras work fine and boot up as they should. Has anyone else had this experience and what did you do about it?

Thanks for your input.

becker,
It's possible that the camera video cable is loose at the back of your monitor. I had one do that and then completely came off of the the back of the monitor. Mine are the push-in style plugs. I was lucky and was able see the back of my monitor (barely) and I had to be a contortionist to do it and also get the cable pushed back into it's hole.
Good Luck!

Like Tom says, it does sound like loose cables. Mine has connectors in the harness that work themselves loose, just a tiny bit, every so often. Fortunately, these connectors are right below the top dash access panel on my unit.

Just in case it is a connection problem. I have been using Shrink Tape to try to keep connections from coming loose. It is hard to tell how successful I have been but none of the treated connections have given me new problems. Sometimes I cut the tape to be a lot narrower and only use 1 or 2 wraps. Great for the drain side of the PVC plumbing too! Locktite also works but you need to get back at it with a wrench!
