Roadside Assistance Programs.

I am looking into roadside assistance programs. Could some of you tell me which ones you are using and why? The only one that was recommended to me by a friend is Allstates plan that he currently uses.
Thanks in advance!

There have been several recent discussions about this. Coach Net seems to have the most supporters.. Others like Good Sam. Some just use the towing coverage with their vehicle insurance, and a few use AAA Plus. AAA Plus is not offered, evidently, in all parts of the country.

We started with Good Sam and found the service to be less than ideal. We have been with Coach Net for several years and are very pleased with them.

Howdy!

I've had both GS ERS and Coach Net. Coach Net is the one I'll keep and has provided me with better service.

What plan do most of you have, The basic plan or the Premium plan? The Limited plan seems to be a waste.

Allstate RV Roadhelp is good. They also provide the service to Good Sam ERS.
Through Allstate you get a KOA 10% discount card every year. Not with the GS version.

I had Allstate since 1994. This year I switched to GS for the $79.95 deal they had for 15 months on the basic one. I no longer pull a cargo trailer so I don't need the higher price one to cover it.

and you'll usually find they have no or very limited service for RV's.
Have had Coach-Net for a number of years now. Used it last year, first shop (a Freightliner shop) said "sure, bring it in we'll get right on it." Got there and they said it'll be next week. Totally denied saying they'd get right on it even when supplied the shop persons name that said it. Tow truck driver knew of another shop and Coach-Net authorized a tow to it. Bill for the towing was over $700, I just signed the slip and that was it. Unfortunately the bill for the new starter and install was over $1,000.

Allstate doesn't have service in some areas.

A few years ago we had a fuel leak and we had to stop miles away from any cell service. Anyway, we were able to call 911 and they sent the police out. The EPA also came plus two truck repairmen and the fire department. The EPA didn't fine us, but they told us we need to go to a EPA cleaning station to get all the diesel from under the truck and 5th wheel. After all that and $400 later, State Farm paid for all of it. They would have paid the towing also.

I found that out one time with a flat tire. They didn't have service in that area of GA. along a Interstate.

But they did get me service truck that I had to pay for. And they reimbursed me for it later. So it wasn't a big deal or a long wait.

In fact they paid for the service call, labor to install my unmounted spare and the disposal fee for the blow out tire.
Does your ERS pay for all that on a flat call? Or just the service call and you have to pay the labor and any other fees?

Been with Coach-Net since 2007, I've only had to use them a couple of times, but they always came thru.

I have Good Sam Insurance for my 5 cars and motorhome. I pay $2.00 every six months for (road side service) tow service per vehicle. Pay more what for? deSanford Ps and yes they tow me to a shop where I get whatever failed repaired.
