Roof A/C drains plugged
09 Monaco Camelot 42KFQ.
The roof A/C drains on 2 of 3 units are plugged and the water runs off the roof and down the sides.
How to clear the clog? Compressor from below? Remove A/C cover, open the plenum and clean from the top?
Any first hand experience on this?
Appreciate your help!
Dave

You can back blow them, but when's the last time you cleaned all the coils up there? Might be time, especially the ones in the plenum (evaporator?).

Have not figured that one out yet. I can see the hose when I take down the inside filter cover.

Pictures would be helpful. I don't know if mine has a drain line or not but I get some drops on the bed. I just figured it was because of high humidity. I guess I should check for a drain line.

I don't have internal drains on my RV A/C but when it's a S + B it's best to try and suck stuff out with a ShopVac. In a house, if the clog is really bad, you can blow a joint apart if it's "questionable" to begin with ... and that joint will be in the worst possible location. Not sure about the clog in an RV, but in a house, it's usually mold buildup .... 1/2 cup of bleach twice a year.
I'm assuming you are in a warm climate ...

Is the drain line heading toward the street side?

I'd break the line at the clamp and see if you can suck debris from the braided line (Big Red Arrow).
However, while you are in the airbox, it looks like you are about ready to have outlet-to-inlet air leaks (Little Red Arrows). That causes short cycling from icing. I would retape everywhere.

Street side is where it is pointing but I have not located it yet. Could make a U turn to curb side.

So reseal the foil stuff with sticky foil stuff. Got it.
The neoprene hose is pretty stuck on. If I get it off, low pressure or vacuum are my choices. Thoughts?
White hose in motor section and in gennie section are really hard to get at. Need small child. Thoughts?
