Roof tape

My 2002 Diplomat has a tape that is like black tar on the bottom and a white vinyl on top this is used to seal the center seam and the front and back caps. Several years ago I replaced my shower sky light and bought a roll to seal it with. I now need to reseal my front cap but can't find this tape anywhere. Any ideas on what to use?

Bob - look no further. Eternabond is what you should use. Expensive but worth every penny.

Actually what he had was mastic tape, not Eternabond, though Eternabond will do the job and likely do it better.

True ... the new and improved product for seams is Eternabond ... and it is better.

And get an oscillating tool with a scraper blade. The come corded (120vac) or portable. Worth every penny for removing old tape and caulk.

Shop PORTER-CABLE 3-Amp Oscillating Tool Kit at Lowes.com
