Rory's 10 KW lift pump finally

Once thanks again for all the help and advice on My Generator . Just to let you all know How it turned out. There was no fuel to the Gen engine, so when I finally found the lift pump. and found out that there was no access. so there was only two things it could be . Either the pump or the control board. accessing the pump was less than fun and accessing the control board was worse it's inside the air intake box. So I wanted to find the power wire to the pump, to see if there was any power going down there. Well all the wires were black . anyway I found the power wire inside some loom going down the back of the Green box. and there was power going down to the pump so control board should be ok. So i took the whole green Box apart to access the lift pump down in the back right corner. Still could not access from the top had to crawl under the rig and access from the back NOT FUN anyway pulled the pump and tested. It ran fine, turns out it was a Bad ground at the connector at the pump. Put a new pump in anyway I am old and slow, so it took about 3 days. New pump at Cummings was $126.00. there is about 100 screws in that box.

Hi Rory; Thanks for posting the fix for your gen. I was reading and following your post on the problem and I had not idea of what was wrong. Glad you got it fixed and posted the bad ground problem in the plug. Something to put in the noggin. Don't know if it will stay there and yes, with our age these things take a little more time but you got it. Again, thanks for the info.
