Rotted Floor in Slide

The good deal we got at lazydays has turned sour. Found where the bottom skin is coming loose on the drivers side slide and the plywood is rotted.
Does the slide have to come off, be deskinned, fixed, then reskinned or can things be accessed from inside? I used to work on aircraft, so I can re-rivet the aluminum skin.
Alternately, I guess I would need a shop to pull the slide and do the work. I live in Colorado, so any recommendations where to get the work done would be appreciated.
Any idea on the cost of this fubar on my part, missing it on the pre-buy. We have only had it 3 weeks.
Thanks

Call Chris at Talin RV. You might also search Guardian Plates on this forum. He may be able to help you.

I would go right back to LD. I don't think they would like all the bad rap you could give them for passing this on to you.

Depending on how far the rot goes, Chris at Talin RV might be able to help.

Here is a link to where Talin repaired a rotted Floor.

I would try a Marine supply house, can't remember the name of product but if damage is not that bad there is a liquid you can use to repair rotted wood, I used it years ago on a wood boat, involves drilling holes and squirting in liquid.
Good luck

If LzD was close, I would have been there already, but they are 300 miles away. Local repair shop is going to take a look at it Friday to see what might be done and give me an idea of cost. Those Talin plates look interesting.
Don't know if I would want LzD to touch the thing

Thanks for the replies

Our 01 Windsor has a soft floor under the driver’s side slide.
Had the slide removed and new tile floor put in.
Disappointed we had to do it but honestly it was worth it with the new floor.
I would crawl in the storage bay and press up on the ceiling, which is the floor, and check and see if you have any soft spots there.
Just my opinion, but I think removing the slide will make the work way easier and much more effective

I have met Chris and seen his repair kits. They are the ticket and no need to remove the slides if caught early.

At least do the research before commiting to a removal of the slide.
