Rubber Gasket

The rubber gasket under my lighted grab handle is deteriorating to the point I think it'll start leaking pretty soon. I'm thinking of using 1/8" rubber gasket material and making my own. Is there anything unique about it that I should know about before I take it off?

Good evening Dennis; I sure don't see any reason why you could not make one out of that material. The factory seals just have a small lip that extends up the chrome part of the handle. I don't know where you would just by the rubber seal parts. There is a place in Indiana called Flemingsalesoem.com that handles entry bars and handles etc. If you wanted to check for fun to see if they handle those parts for the entry handle. Let us know how your repair shakes out. Good luck!
