RV beach resort recommendations?
We will be leaving Fort Meyers area tomorrow heading north on 75 ,we are looking to stay a couple nights somewhere on the beach if possible on the gulf coast.
We’ve been warned that the Fort Myers Beaches have red tide at this time and it is not recommended to swim.
Can anyone recommend specific beachfront RV resorts as we head back to Georgia?
Thanks
Rick

Camp Gulf is definitely on my bucket list to try, we didn’t want to venture out as far as Destin off 75 on our way home.
Everyone has given us concern about the red tide in the entire gulf area for safety, so we just decided to come over to Orlando and try discovery Cove snorkeling.
Thank you for the input.

We love camp gulf. It is pricey but we keep going back every year. We are on a 7 week vacation right now and the last two weeks are scheduled there. Hope it's still warm....lol.

Good idea .... red tide has shown up in Panama City Beach. Anastasia S.P. and Fernandina Beach (Ft. Clinch S.P.) are nice (if you can get in).

Thank you for the response and the suggestions.
We ended up going to Fort wilderness at Disney and visiting discovery cove and Universal CityWalk.

Do you remember the average cost, is it hard to get a site reserved near the water?
What do you mean by out of season, do you mean not many people go at this time, or do you mean some people think it’s too hot?

Here ya' go ... keep in mind that seasons are defined by the campground and may not match your expectations.
