I am currently installing this small gun safe in my Diplomat. I will use it to keep passports, checkbooks and other docs I need while traveling. For the price, I think it is a quality product.

I have the same safe. Works great. I use it for it's intended purpose. For the items you mentioned I bought a fire and water proof safe at Staples.

Good idea, Luke, can't be too careful these days.

I found many little overlooked (by Monaco during the build) possibilities to add safes, etc. Most of them aren't even obvious til you really start measuring and checking in/under/around/etc.
Won't tell you where we found a space big enough to install a substantial-size safe, and it's not even obvious for someone breaking into the rv that it's there (but is close enough for me to get my 'persuader' to let them know they shouldn't be inside in the first place)

Looks like handy little safe. And the price is pretty good.

That is a very functional safe. I too have found a place but really like the ability to take the thing with you at the end of a trip. Good find.

I just bought one on EBAY. I hope I can find a good place to mount it. My thanx also for the original post!

We will wait until I find one that is fireproof and compact. I figure our chances are almost as great for a fire as it is someone breaking in the coach and taking those items..
