My 2002 does about the same thing.
You might be able to get a part number off the current motor, there is usually a sticker on it. Check the wiring harness to make sure it is tight.
Not hard to change, I think there are ~4 bolts that holds it on. Probably a 1 of 5 on the scale of difficulty.
If you can't find a part number you may call Veurinks in Michigan and ask them for the part and cost, they should be able to source one.

I left a small rug in front of my kitchen slide and caused the motor to fail and called Veurinks, the got me the part and had it shipped to my wifes friends house and her friends husband put it on.
About 9 months later I took the old motor apart and checked it out and put it back together and it worked, my guess is one of the bushes hung and wasn't making contact with the armature.
