RVA 3 point jack system
2003 Monaco knight with the RVA J2 3 point level jack system. Just got to campground and front jack has extended about 75% down. It has more to go but won't. I'm guessing fluid is low. We are all set up with slides out so I can't mess with it now as it is close enough. As I remember, a couple trips back, I could get the rear jacks to extend 100%. Today, I am on a slight down slope to the front, so I added 4 blocks under the front jack, after releasing air bag air. The front jack comes down and raises coach about 75% of the travel of the cylinder. It won't raise it the rest. All I can think is it's low on fluid. I don't want to take reservoir cap off while under load. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Manual doesn't cover this and RVA is out of biz. I've had this coach 8 years and never a level issue.

First of all, RVA is NOT out of business. They were revived and I've purchased several items from them. They can be found here:
https://www.rvajack.com/https://www.rvajack.com/
As for adding fluid, the way I was taught was to lift up all jacks to the travel position and then put one down about 6 inches. When that jack lifts for travel it will raise the fluid level enough to turn off the "jacks down" sensor. As far as I know there is no pressure in the reservoir so removing the plug while the jacks are down doesn't cause a problem.
The biggest issue that I have when adding fluid is that the reservoir fill port is almost totally inaccessible. After numerous messy attempts I now have a drill-driven pump that I use to pump fluid into the tank.

Thanks Joel. I saw today that RVA is now part of Brazels in WA. They don't answer their phone either and after 10 mins of holding, I gave up. I was only looking for tech support which they apparently don't support. I am already all set up for 4 nights where we are. When I break camp, I will raise all jacks, then lower 1 jack 6-8 inches and open reservoir and see what I have.

If you were to put down the front first as you should the fluid should have been available to do so. Are you trying to operate manually i would be at this point. Actually I only do it manually as to get front firmly planted every time and retracted last every time . Getting pretty level by the seat of my pants literally must be my super power ,can usually get very close before I stand up. Does it look bent. Usually issues are that springs wont bring the ram back up if bent or dry dirty wipers. The RVA system gets very little complaints on here. Try to find the front solenoid and manual retract valve make sure its closed tight. Does it lift the rig when you block it up or have no oomph at all?

Couple of steps to adding fluid, start with all jacks up, lower front jack approx 6", turn ignition switch on, at this point system should start alarming beeps.
Remove cap from top of jack reservoir, (no pressure) add fluid until alarm stops, replace cap your done.

I only do it manually. I dump air, then raise the front and then alternate bringing up the rear. I always engage the front a little, even if it starts front high.

The reservoir isn't under pressure, but I wouldn't get under there with the front jack acting up.

Nothing wrong electronically or mechanically. It is only a manual system.
