RVA Leveler Hydraulic Hoses
I've looked at them a couple of times and I only see one hose per cylinder. That would make sense since they are retracted by spring instead of a two way piston. The T-handles you can use to manually retract the levelers make it seem unlikely there are two hoses. Can anyone verify what I'm seeing?

I can tell you for certain that there is only one hose connection per jack on an RVA system. We changed out a broken jack last year so I am very familiar with how they are mounted.

Thanks Joel. I'm glad to hear that because I think they are going to be expensive!

Depends, I have found in the past if you do a little searching there is usually a independent local shop that will make one if y take the old one in

That’s pricy! My power steering hose was almost $500 from NAPA.

I think I might replace the front first, just to see how much it’s going to cost.

Good morning Dennis; Again, nice job and write up on the hose replacement. Question, are your leveling jack hydraulic lines also leaking? I have that weeping on my power steering hoses like I mentioned but as far as I know the hoses to my jacks are dry as a bone. Just curious! Thanks in advance.

That wasn't the price on a hose, it was for the jack.
Lots of local shops can fabricate replacement hoses if you need them.

The PS hose was leaking at the fitting. When I removed the ceiling of the basement to get access to it, I found the two rear leveler hoses sweating.

Thanks for the clarification. The hoses are still pricy.

The first year we had the coach (it was 10 years old), we blew one of the two hoses that connected the cylinder for the main slideout and the RVA pump which is used to power it. (It is a "two way" cylinder so there are two hoses.)
It turned out that one of Beaver's suppliers had under spec'd the hoses so the only correct solution was to replace them both. It cost us ~$1100 to replace both hoses (~35' each) including labor.
A shop in Sioux Falls fabricated them. That was in 2011 and the work was done by a truck repair facility not an RV dealer where I would guess the price would have been much hiher.

Well, after exploring those hoses from front to back and considering how much time, effort and cash its going to take to replace them, I've decided to see how much they are actually leaking before proceeding. First, I cleaned all the hoses, then I lined the top of the ceiling panels with thick plastic drop cloth and put them back. I'll give it a few trips then remove them to see how much hydraulic fluid actually leaked, then decide if I need to replace them.

Check on line, there are hose fabricators that have much better prices the NAPA and even a hydraulic shop has better prices then NAPA. Back this summer I blew a hose on my small backhoe but it was late Saturday, my hydraulic shop was closed so I went to NAPA. It probably cost ~30-40% more. At some point in the near future I'm going to replace all the hoses on my backhoe and probably just order on line.
