Sagging Slide - HELP - 2007 Camelot

The big slide is sagging down and interfering with the bay doors opening and shutting. We now have to have 3 people push to bring the slide in.

Go to to front run bay where all the fuses are, & pull fuse F22 -- That will let you operate the slides with the engine running, giving you more power to the slide motors -- With the slide all the way out, you will see adjustment screws/bolts, underneath, on the outside slide wall --- You can raise the outside of the slide there -- Bill Willard

You may have the same issue my big slide had, the rollers on the inside end of the slide ram had crushed. The rollers ar made of a honeycomb plastic material and will begin to crush and deform. I had mine replaced with 3 roller bearings on each ram, the slides have never worked better.

The problem is partly that the slide needs a push by people on the outside to get the slide in, but the steel rails that hold the slide are sagging so much that they are hitting on the fiberglass just above the bay doors. It would appear that the heavy steel rails need to be adjusted up.

Dennis, could you send a picture or two of what you did. My technician is uncertain abt what to do and thinks we will have to un-weld some of the rail connections, and lift the whole rail up. Your thoughts are appreciated.
