I, too, loved my Sanicon. Used it faithfully for 5 years even replaced it when it went bad during those five years. Then I began to realize how long it was taking to empty a tank and rinsing the tank. I decided my time was worth more than my time dumping so I dumped the Sanicon and bought a cam lock Waste Management slinky. WOW! Now it's dump, flush and go. I don't mind spending a few short minutes with the poop versus 30 minutes or more with the poop.

It just sits there, all clean and pretty, while my stinky-slinky goes "whoosh".
Seems folks either love 'em or hate 'em. I like my Sani-Con. My 2007 Diplomat came with one, and I've been using it successfully for the past 10 years. Never had a problem. I like it because it's so easy to hook up and unhook at the campground. It always stays attached and ready to go, and you never have to mess with trusselling to get the proper gravity flow going. Here are some notes from my Diplomat web site about using the Sani-Con that I follow consistently.

One also came with my new 2017 Dip, so I'll be continuing to use it. If it ever does crap out (pun intended), I may look into the new Lippert Waste Management System, mentioned in the post directly above.

I prefer our Sani-Con. Always connected, never have to deal with or try to clean the slinky before putting it away. Completely sealed so I never get any #%$ on my hands. I get a kick out of all the complaints about taking so much time to dump, it takes me about 15 minutes vs what 5 if you don't rinse? Man, I know saving 10 minutes isn't way up my list of important. I rarely have to pump uphill but when it does occur at least I can do it. I can stretch out my Sani-Con with one extra hose to at least 30' no problem in about 1 minute. I'll stick to the Sani-Con.

As a full timer I find using the sani con when traveling and the 3 inch slinky when sitting still the perfect combination.Click image for larger version
