satellite wiring

I am going to change out my old in motion KVH tracvision dish for a new winegard in motion. my problem is that the winegard requires power to operate the motors as where the KVH got the power thru the coaxial cable. so any helpful hints on how to pull the power wire thru the ceiling of a 2004 monaco dynasty.

Here are a couple of photos taken during the building of our '06 Dynasty. I'm actually not sure if they took the pics of a similar coach, or actually of ours, but it at least gives an idea of how cables were routed during the construction of these units. Even though yours is an '04, I would expect similarities in practices. The penetration outboard of the front left corner of the foam insulation panel is the entry to the compartment above the drivers seat where the satellite control panel is located on our coach, along with other devices.

I replaced the dome on our 05 Dynasty with an RF Mogul auto dish recently. We were able to fish the wires through the ceiling by removing several ceiling light pucks and one speaker. There is not much room between the roof and the foam layers to work in. I did discover during our overhead TV replacement project that there is a huge gap between the rear of the TV near the windshield. The foam insulation stops and a flimsy fiberglass mat is then used. You might be able to run cables forward and then across to the stereo cabinet. That of course, will all depend on where your equipment is located.
